Four Villages Inn gardener and watchman, Godwin, operates his own private car washing business.
And Prudence, our Four Villages Inn chambermaid, has her own thriving laundry concession.

Four Villages Inn Donates Prize * August 3, 2002
Four Villages Inn is proud to announce that we have donated a prize of one night's free stay along with a pack each of beef and pork breakfast sausages, wieners and frankfurters to take away to the DAMSEL WOMEN'S GROUP of Tarkwa Goldfields. The raffle is to raise money to construct a new
children's ward at the Tarkwa Government Hospital. Charity and I have a special feeling for this cause since we lived in Tarkwa in the Western Region in the early 70's when we were teachers at Tarkwa
Secondary School.
Mango Madness * July 31, 2002
July saw a great mango season and our homemade mango jam has been getting rave reviews.
Greener Pastures for Bongo * July 28, 2002
Longtime resident of the Four Villages Inn - Bongo - has gone on to greener pastures ... no he hasn't died ... the Wildlife Service accepted our request to take him so that he can be reintroduced into the wild. He is to remain in quarantine for a couple of weeks and then will be taken to Bia National Park in the Western Region, where there is a monkey reserve. Bongo's longtime companion, Beauty - the baby spot-nosed monkey - tried to move into the big cage vacated by Bongo, but it didn't quite work because she could slip through the mesh ... not a good idea with our two dogs, Mandela and Buddy in the wings! So it was back to the little cage surrounded  by chicken wire. Like Beauty, both Charity and I sadly miss Bongo's shenanigans.

Otumfuo Osei Tutu II A “Royal Marriage” of the Asantehene, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, took place on April 6 in Accra. The ceremony was performed the customary way. The lucky lady, Julia, is a lawyer by profession and a banker, now with ECOBANK. Julia, in her 30s, is an ex-student of the Wesley Girls High School, Cape Coast. She was called to the Bar in 1994, after obtaining her first degree from the University of Ghana, Legon, and completing her professional course at the Ghana Law School in Accra. Dubbed a special “kente wedding”, Julia, was full of smiles, as she hooked the most eligible bachelor of our time - to the surprise of close associates, who saw very little of the courtship.
