A Very Literary Crowd * July 23, 2005
That's the clientele we attract. 99.99% of our guests are readers.
What wonderful titles have graced our bedside tables.
And to honour you, we will give you a kente cloth bookmark upon your departure from Four Villages Inn.
So that every time you open a book and see our bookmark, you'll think of FOUR VILLAGES INN, deep in the heart of the African rainforest.
A Good Choice in Accra * July 20, 2005
Arriving in Accra? We would like to highly recommend staying at The Rest Inn in Tesano, Accra. The rates are somewhat the same as Four Villages Inn.

On prior arrangement, they will pick you up at the airport. And should you want to travel to Kumasi by the very economical and reliable State Transport Corporation bus service, they buy your advance ticket and you pay them on receipt of the ticket. And they will drop you off
at the bus station which is located nearby.
Of course, when you arrive at Kumasi - either by bus or airplane, FOUR VILLAGES INN will be there to meet you.
Oh Happy Day ... * July 14, 2005
Charity, Chris and Frank Scott travelled to Montreal, Canada to be present at Christianna Akosua Scott's magical wedding.

Needless to say, in his "father of the bride" speech, your host Chris slipped in a small commercial for FOUR VILLAGES INN !!!

Travel Tip: Phoning Overseas from Ghana * July 10, 2005
Ghana Telcom has a wonderful option. Buy a PREPAID CARD for C75,000 - that's about US$8.00 and you can talk for approximately 15 minutes. The card is activated for you on the first time using it, and you have 30 days to use your units.
They are available everywhere, and with the pin number, you can use it from the comfort of your hotel room.
Bob Geldof in Africa * July 7, 2005
It's hot off the press - the introduction is dated June, 2005 - and FOUR VILLAGES INN has this wonderful book for you to read when you sit out on our expansive verandah overlooking a spectacular garden. Or perhaps you'd just like to browse through the book looking at the fascinating pictures taken by Geldof on his travels in Africa during the last 30 years.
The topic of aid to Africa is a hot topic given the LIVE 8 concerts held around the world  and the meeting of the G8 leaders in Scotland. Should you choose Four Villages Inn, we'd love to hear your opinions on the subject.
Ghana Hotel Association Meeting in Kumasi * May 6, 2005
We may be small, but we have a mighty big voice on the Ghana hotel scene. Pictured above is the national executive-front row-with the regional chairmen and secretaries from the eleven regions. Can you spot Chris Scott in the photo?
Four Villages Inn Expands Video Library * April 13, 2005
In the authorative Bradt Guide to Ghana - indispensible if you are visiting Ghana for the first time - author Philip Briggs remarks on F.V.I.'s "great selection of free videos to choose from". Well that great selection has become even greater. A big thank you goes out to the Wiebes of Rivers, Manitoba and Bob Burch in Montreal, Quebec, for their generous contributions.
Here is a New Link to the page listing what videos we have, some on VHS and others on DVD. You will also find this link on our "Facilities" page, so you can check ahead of time to see what new additions have been made.
Chris Scott Joins Executive of Ghana Hotels Association * April 9, 2005
Active in the local branch of the Ghana Hotels Association since opening FOUR VILLAGES INN in January 2000, Chris has been elected to the position of Regional Secretary for Ashanti.

Chris will be responsible for relaying local concerns to the national executive while reporting Ghana wide issues back to the Ashanti membership.

"Great People, Great Place, Best Service" * March 29, 2005
That's what Mr. Grant Salter, Hotel Management Senior Consultant, woking for Grant Thornton International, the fifth largest audit firm in the world, wrote in the guest book after a three night stay at FOUR VILLAGES INN.

While in Kumasi, Mr. Salter conducted a feasibility study for a Lybian/Arab Bank consortium looking into the possibility of purchasing Kumasi's largest hotel property, the City Hotel, a former state owned and run 169 room estabilishment that closed decades ago.

The only thing small in this story is FOUR VILLAGES INN, where our motto is "Small is beautiful".

Farewell to Some Valued Guests * December 18, 2004
At the end of February, the Scotts said a sad farewell to the Lauterbach family from Denmark. Karen Lauterbach was in Ghana conducting research on Ghanaian churches with a Danish connection. She was accompanied by her husband Thomas and one and a half year old Johanis.
Here's what they wrote in our guest book: "Fantastic rooms, delicious breakfast, great hospitability, and a nice relaxing atmosphere-even after almost five weeks. Thanks for making our family feel at home during our stay. See you."
